We’ll first do an ice breaker question about traditional sea songs and then work through a power point about how it was like to be a sailor a long time ago (and to lose a ship). After that we’ll look at the lyrics for the song Leave Her Johnny, work through vocabulary the students might not be familiar with, and sing it together (if there’s time).
Learning Goals
By the end of this course students will be able to better understand the song Leave Her Johnny.Students will understand how hard it was to be a sailor throughout history.
