Week 1
Lesson 1
First Week
We will start with how poetry fits into the world of essay writing. In a lecture, I will break down the process of how to read poetry, what to look for when it comes to reading this complicated format. How can learners come up with a study topic from such a short piece of writing? What must we think about to come up with something solid to research? During this lecture, learners will discover how to create an essay for themselves which will be based off the discoveries they make in class.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Second Week
Next students will learn the importance of punctuation. Another lecture will be created, this time showing how this punctuation is used in a real poem. How to work out if information is important will be the product of a game, where learners will participate in a fun, written quiz. They will learn important facts to pick out from sentences and how to find them by playing this game. The quiz will be provided in written form.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Third Week
The deeper process of reading for poetry begins. A new lecture of how to dig into the deeper wonders of poetry essays begin, as well as go over some of the expectations that are typically required in college. Learners will get to study a bio of a poetry author, which they can discuss how it relates to the broader concepts of the author's work. For my part, I will provide more information through lectures. They will learn how to research authors and discover what that means.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Fourth Week
During the fourth and final week, learners will discover what it takes to finish an essay and research the final stretch. Learners will be able to participate in more games, allowing some fun. During this time, learners will get to check each other's ideas for errors. During a lecture, learn how to writing essays for poetry can be very complicated. What if you aren't right? I will go over this, with information on how to reassure this issue.
