Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey into the world of collaborative storytelling and world-building? Join us for an exciting 2 1/2 hour class where we'll immerse ourselves in "The Quiet Year," a captivating game that allows you to collectively design a unique and vibrant world and town like never before.

"The Quiet Year" is an enthralling tabletop role-playing game that combines creativity, strategy, and imagination. In this class, your child will have the opportunity to become an active participant in shaping the fate of an entirely new and imaginative world. Through teamwork and collaboration, they'll take on the role of the community, making crucial decisions and facing a series of challenges that will mold the world they create.

What to Expect:

Collaborative World-Building: In this class, students will work together to create a rich and intricate world. They'll discuss, decide, and draw to establish the landscape, culture, and resources of their new world. Each student's contributions will add a layer of uniqueness to the growing narrative.

Storytelling and Strategy: "The Quiet Year" is not just about drawing maps; it's also about storytelling and strategy. Students will encounter events and dilemmas that require thoughtful decision-making. As a group, they will learn to solve problems, adapt to change, and write the story of their town's survival.

Creativity and Imagination: This class encourages and celebrates creativity. Students will have the chance to express themselves through storytelling, artwork, and imaginative world-building. No two worlds will ever be the same!

Communication and Collaboration: "The Quiet Year" relies on effective communication and collaboration. Students will work together to discuss ideas, make choices, and ensure the survival and prosperity of their community.

Fun and Learning: Learning through play is a powerful educational tool. "The Quiet Year" combines fun and learning seamlessly, allowing students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills while having a blast.


Who Should Attend:
This class is perfect for children and teenagers who enjoy games, storytelling, and using their creativity. No prior experience with role-playing games is required. The class is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all skill levels. The game guide is not required for class.

Minimum 2 students required for a class to run.

This is an autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergences-friendly classroom. I myself am neurodivergent and this an open space where a student does not need to mask. Miscommunication will not be assumed to be rudeness, and I want curiosity to thrive. I will additionally, joyfully always accommodate best I can if any needs or learning strategies are provided ahead of time.
