What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
I will introduce the book with a short book talk, and I will explain the parts of a book to the children (front cover, title page, back cover, author, etc.). We will read the story, The Polar Express, and I will prompt kids with questions about the story to assess their comprehension skills. This class will be a fun time for children to talk about Christmas, and I will allow them to tell me about any fun Christmas traditions that them and their families do each year. I will allow the students to engage in a group discussion about the events that take place in the story. I like for my classes to be fun and engaging for the students. This is a fun way to kick off the spirit of the holidays while allowing children to develop in their comprehension skills, and children will learn to develop fluency skills by listening to a teacher model fluent reading. No required experience or knowledge required for this class.
