In this One-Time class, children will listen to a storybook called The Pigeon wants a Puppy by scholastic and do a simple craft. Stuffed animals are welcome for a short show and tell.

Students will learn reading skills, listening skills, art skills. They will practice cutting, coloring, and gluing. Some assistance might be needed from parents for smaller learners as they complete a craft with the class. Students will listen to me read them a book called The pigeon wants a puppy! by scholastic. I will share the pictures from the book then I will show the children how to complete a simple craft project step by step. Students are encouraged to talk during art time and interact with each other. No background knowledge is required as I will be reading the story. It would be helpful if the children are familiar with using children's scissors and glue for craft time. Some parent assistance may be needed during craft time if not. Progress is evaluated by their level of excitement for the story and craft!! Students are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal to class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn listening skills, we will be cutting with scissors, coloring with crayons, using a glue stick. Using fine motor and social skills.
