Learners will determine a topic that's important to them, one that impacts the world - an issue that affects global society, the national population, or their local community. After the session, and with parent permission, students can then choose share their writing with the identified audience. Other Details
Parental Guidance
If needed, I will ensure that topic discussions of controversial issues do not become emotional. We will not discuss rights / wrongs, etc. - it's about what matters to your individual child, not whether or not we agree or disagree as a group. The focus of the class is on the art and craft of writing with power and influence, rather than the issue(s) that may arise as writing topics.
