1 hour per week. While it it not required to complete materials between classes, students should expect to spend less than 1 hour per week on this material.Class Experience
The July Piano Class - Self Paced Version is based off the book: The July Piano Book. We will be covering most of the material in the book along with students in this class. (Even though this is a firework-themed and July-themed class, learners are welcome to take this class anytime of the year! We do also offer a live version of the class during the month of July). A downloadable PDF of the book we use is included in the class you can print off for your learner, but we will also provide a link to purchase a printed book from Amazon and give you $10 off the class. Each weekly unit, our lessons will include the following: 🎹 Worksheet Lesson: we will cover how to complete worksheets. Worksheets should be printed/ready before class starts. 🎹 Activity Lesson: We will cover two activities through out the class and alternate between flash cards in units 1 and 3, and a board game in units 2 and 4. 🎹 Composing Time: We will compose songs in each unit using different notes on the keyboard. Extra composing sheets are included in these lessons. 🎹 Music Time: this is where we will learn our song(s) of the unit, which are listed in the syllabus. Because the content does not build on previous weeks, there is no expectation for students to complete work between classes. Students will be invited to move onto The August Piano Class which has school-themed songs, games, and activities.
