Beginner Level
In this one-time class, I will read the classic youth adaptation of Washington Irving's "The Headless Horseman." Reading times will vary. I will pause periodically to ask the students questions and get their feedback. We will discuss the characters, setting, and plot. Students will be encourage to make inferences. An optional worksheet is provided.
Learning Goals
Students will practice listening skills, learn about the elements of the story, and make inferences about the characters.

This classic tale references romance. The story is intended to be spooky, but it is not overtly violent. There is a mention of guns and ghosts.
