****I do not cancel classes for low enrollment. I love teaching to a single learner or group of students.**** The opening scene is Paris, August 1939. The Louvre, the world famous French art museum, is officially closed for repairs, but in actuality, hundreds of valuable works of art are being secretly relocated as France prepares for possible war with Germany. In our story, a little known art thief, Jean Claude, infiltrated the movers at the Louvre and stole several priceless pieces of art. Our detective, Pierre Bernard, is hot on his trail, searching for clues and following Jean Claude through European cities during World War II. Learners will decipher clues and learn important historical facts as we work as one team to follow the thief's trail and return the art to the Louvre. In this one time class, learners will encounter a variety of fun and educational challenges, such as riddles, word puzzles, and ciphers, as well as questions based on information shared in class. I will guide the class as a group through the various clues or challenges in the escape rooms, offering guidance and hints when needed. Students will take turns sharing their thoughts and offering their answers to the various challenges. Class will begin with a series of slides that give historical background information for our task, and bits of history and a little geography related to World War II Europe will be sprinkled throughout our escape rooms. No special skills or prior knowledge is necessary for this class. Please note that I do not cancel classes for low enrollment. I love teaching single learners and groups of students!
