In this class, the students will listen to The Gingerbread Man Finds His Buttons by Amy Brown. They will answer questions as they listen. They will help read the Gingerbread Song when he finds his buttons. They will also practice adding by one each time he finds a button. At the end of the book, they will practice retelling the story and talk about all of the places where he found his buttons. They will also practice solving addition problems from the book. If time allows, the students will make their own gingerbread man with lots of buttons. The students do not need any prior knowledge to join this class.

The students need the gingerbread man page and something to decorate it with. They may draw their own if they want.
