Students will have lots of hands-on learning that is centred on fun and creativity. They will make creative art projects inspired by feminism, environmentalism, and and social justice movements. This is a welcoming and inclusive space for kids of all genders to connect with others who have similar interests as them.
I am a Ph.D. student in Gender, Feminist, and Women's studies and have been teaching children and teens for over 8 years. My area of study is film but I am also a visual artist outside of school and I love hands-on, arts and crafts based learning!
Recommended supplies can be found around the house! There is (usually!) no need to buy new supplies for this club. There is a strong focus on using recycled materials in our projects.
