In The Art Lab, you’ll experience a welcoming and creative space where you’ll grow as an artist each week. No prior experience is required to drop into the class. We begin every class with introductions, allowing everyone to engage with the group, share a little about themselves, and get comfortable with the class. This interactive start sets the tone for a fun and supportive learning environment where your ideas and creativity are celebrated.

Each week, we’ll explore fresh inspiration, whether it’s from books, famous artists, or the natural world. I’ll present a piece of imagery to focus on, helping us connect with the theme of the class and giving you a chance to see how different subjects can inspire your art. I’ll also show a sample art project to give you a sense of what we’ll create, guiding you through the process.

As we work on the project, I’ll teach you the essential elements and principles of art—like color, line, shape, pattern, and texture—while encouraging you to add your own unique touch to your piece. My teaching style is fun, encouraging, and designed to help you feel confident in experimenting with different materials and techniques.

At the end of each class, we’ll share our work with the group, celebrating the different ways everyone has interpreted the lesson. It’s a wonderful way to connect, give and receive feedback, and see how everyone’s creativity shines. Whether you're a beginner or have experience, this class is all about having fun, being creative, and growing as an artist.
