Do you have a passion for design? Do you have an eye for how things should fit in a space? If so, this is the class for you! We will discuss the definition of 'space planning' and look at examples together via slides. We will discuss your own spaces, what works, and what does not work. We will discuss ways to make these spaces more efficient and more appealing. After our discussion, students will work on their own individual projects (of their choice) and design a new layout based on what they have learned. I will encourage class interaction, sharing of ideas, and open question/dialogue throughout class. I love to incorporate fun and laughter into my classes while maintaining clear goals and expectations. This class may move quicker or slower than anticipated based on the needs of the individual students. Questions, conversations, and sharing are handled gently and respectfully by the teacher. This class welcomes beginners. Just bring your supplies and a creative & open mind.

Students will gain a better understanding of space planning and the advantages of planning our a space through notes, discussion, and drawing.
