Class Title: The Anthropology of Minecraft: Ancient Civilizations Class Description: Welcome to "The Anthropology of Minecraft: Civilizations"! In this interactive and exciting class, students aged 7-14 will dive into the fascinating world of anthropology through the lens of Minecraft. We will explore how civilizations are formed, develop cultural practices, build structures, and interact with their environments. Using Minecraft as our virtual sandbox, students will learn about the key components that make up ancient and modern civilizations while creating their own unique societies within the game. Class Structure: This class will be divided into six sessions, with each session having a video lasting 15-20 minutes. Each session will combine educational content with hands-on activities in Minecraft. Class Requirements: Students must have access to Minecraft (Java Edition or Bedrock Edition) and a computer capable of running the game. Basic familiarity with Minecraft is recommended but not required. Reminder: Gamer tags will be required for the class, but students are only to share them privately with the teacher and never publicly in the classroom.
