What will be taught? The story and themes of The Epic of Gilgamesh What topics will you cover? Geography, History, Literature How is your class structured? The class is a teacher-lead discussion. How will you teach? PowerPoint and discussion and encouraged analysis from students. What's your teaching style? Interactive and Socratic, I provide the information and lead the students to their own understanding of the material. How much will learners get to interact with you (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? The learners can interact at any time with questions and comments. The point of the class is to learn history and the epic and promote critical thinking.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify key events in the Epic of Gilgamesh.
Students will understand the themes of friendship, mortality, and the search for immortality in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Parental Guidance
The epic does talk about topics of a sexual nature. I will adjust the language and content depending on the maturity of the students involved and use gentler language if needed.
