Day 1- Students will begin by introducing themselves and sharing something that they know about frogs. The teacher will read "The Adventures of the Itty Bitty Frog." This story is about a frog who is itty bitty (small) but has a very big heart. Students will discuss how the frog showed kindness to the lost bird. Students will then create a frog craft (sponge painting) and share their craft with the group. The last 5 minutes of class will be "free talk" for students to discuss whatever they would like with each other. Since we are painting, students will have to put their frog together after the paint dries. If you don't have a sponge and paint, your child may color the frog with markers, crayons, or colored pencils. Please have the frog craft printed before camp. Day 2- Students will begin by sharing something that they know about bunnies. The teacher will read "The Adventures of the Itty Bitty Bunny." This story is about a bunny who is itty bitty but shows friendship and what it means to be caring. Students will discuss how the bunny succeeded at making his friend smile. Students will then create a bunny craft (bunny directed drawing) and share their craft with the group. The last 5 minutes of class will be "free talk" for students to discuss whatever they would like with each other. Each child will need a white piece of paper and either crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Day 3- Students will begin by sharing something that they know about spiders. The teacher will read "The Adventures of the Itty Bitty Spider and the Itty Bitty Mouse." This story is about a spider and mouse who are very good friends. They teach lessons about being honest. Students will discuss who showed honesty in the story. Students will then create a spider craft and a mouse craft and glue them on paper together, then write a story about the mouse. Students will share their crafts with the group. The last 5 minutes of class will be "free talk" for students to discuss whatever they would like with each other.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching for over 13 years. My experience is with K-3rd grade. I have also taught short term summer school. I love the author Kimberly P. Johnson and hope that your children will enjoy her books as much as I enjoy teaching them. There are great lessons in all of her books.
