This course is to help readers spot common words or sight words while learning to read. We will focus on the words "the, of, and, a, to, is, in, you, that, it, he, was, for, on, as, was, with, his,” The learner should have previous experience with their letter sounds along with reading simple words where they can blend letter sounds together to form the word. The learner will read, recognize, identify and spell the sight words at the end of this one time course. My role as the teacher of this course is to make learning the sight words fun, and help them get ready for their journey of becoming readers.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their knowledge of sight words or commonly used words.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello my name is Christina Clegg or Teacher Tina. I have been teaching in different environments since 2012 I got my teacher certification in 2016. After graduating from Texas A&M University of Commerce in December 2016 I worked with students that needed help outside of school with Sylvan Learning Center. I have been enjoying working with small group of children since and individuals. I believe focusing on each students needs helps students grow and flourish. I have been teaching online tutoring and with ESL students working on all things reading and English. I am going to continue on my education to become a Dyslexic Therapist. I have struggled and learned ways to continue to learn and grow as someone that was also diagnosed with dyslexia in 2002. It helps me connect with students that need an outside of the box approach to learning a new topic.
Outside of teaching and working with students I enjoy playing outside with my toddler and exploring the world through her eyes. I also enjoy reading, playing games on my Nintendo switch current obsession (animal crossing), playing board games, and watching movies. Reviews
