-What will be taught? In our Turkey Hunt Challenge, students will develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and resourcefulness while exploring a Thanksgiving-themed Minecraft map to find hidden "turkeys." -What topics will you cover? We’ll cover critical thinking, collaboration, map exploration, and clue-solving. The focus will be on resourcefulness, creative problem-solving, and working together to complete tasks in the game. -How is your class structured? The class is structured with an introduction to the challenge, followed by small group activities where students explore the map, solve clues, and locate the hidden turkeys. Each group will work through puzzles while receiving guidance and support. -How will you teach? We’ll teach through hands-on exploration in Minecraft, providing clear instructions, visual clues, and a well-structured environment. We’ll guide students as they solve puzzles, encouraging teamwork and critical thinking along the way. -What’s your teaching style? Our teaching style is interactive and student-centered. We focus on engagement, collaboration, and creativity, providing a fun, supportive learning environment where students take the lead in their problem-solving. -How much will learners get to interact with you? Students will interact with us throughout the class, especially during group activities and when they encounter challenges. We’ll offer guidance during game play, encourage discussion, and assist with solving problems. There will also be brief check-ins to keep everyone on track.

Our Turkey Hunt Challenge supports ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD by using clear visual instructions, minimal text, and sensory-friendly environments. Students work at their own pace, collaborate in teams, and build skills in a fun, inclusive way.

If the student wants to join the world and play together they will need: - Minecraft BEDROCK edition - which is available on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Mobile, Nintendo Switch, and more! - Signed into your Microsoft account (so we can add each other as friends) If the student wants to join to work on their world and talk about Minecraft with others but NOT play on the server, the above is not required. Note: Bedrock version does not work on Mac.
