In this STEAM based class students will learn the history of the Macy's Day Parade through a read-aloud, "Balloons Over Broadway" by, Melissa Sweet and then they will design and create their own balloon for a digital parade. Students will be asked to brainstorm and draw a design. They will then share their design with the class, and have 20 minutes to attempt to build their own balloon. After the allotted time we will share our balloons. Students will be given compliments and feedback and will then reflect on how they can improve their design.
