What Will Be Taught? Python Basics: Kids will learn essential Python programming constructs while creating a part of the game. Turtle Graphics: They’ll use Turtle graphics to draw the game environment, and objects. Event-Driven Coding: They’ll learn how to make the game respond to user input (like arrow keys to move the basket) and game events (like catching falling food). How is Your Class Structured? Introduction to Python (5 minutes): A quick review of Python basics and how we’ll use Turtle graphics in the class. Game Development (40 minutes): Kids will build their game by creating the falling food, and basket movement. Customization (5 minutes): Students will add their personal touch to the game by changing the background, adding Thanksgiving-themed graphics, or adjusting the falling speed. Wrap-Up and Q&A (5 minutes): We’ll take a look at the games students created, answer questions, and discuss how they can continue building on their game in future sessions. How Will You Teach? Live Coding: I will code along with the students in real-time, demonstrating each part of the game development process. Hands-On Learning: Students will follow along, coding each part of their game, from creating the basket to making the food fall from the top. Interactive Support: Throughout the class, I’ll answer questions, give coding tips, and help troubleshoot any problems students may encounter. Engagement: As the game comes together, I will encourage kids to modify their game, like changing food items, colors, or the game speed to make it more fun. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact with You? Live Interaction: Students will have continuous access to ask questions as they build their games. I’ll provide immediate assistance when needed. Sharing & Feedback: At the end of the class, students will be invited to share their games, and I’ll give feedback on their creations.
