Teen Movie Discussion Club
If your child is interested in movies, this is the club for them! Each week, we will meet to discuss a pre-selected movie. We will chat about the director, actors/actresses, what we liked and disliked, and play some trivia.
Class Experience
During this club, we will enjoy lively discussions about pre-selected movies with our peers! Students are expected to have watched the film BEFORE class starts so that they are able to join the conversation. We will cover the directors, actors, our likes and dislikes, play some trivia and maybe even delve into some thought-provoking questions about the storyline. These movies are rated PG13 and may contain violence, adult language, or behavior. I advise all parents to watch these films...
- Students will learn how to have constructive discussions with their peers.
All movies will be rated PG or PG-13. You are encouraged to look into the movies being discussed each week to make sure it fits with your family's understanding of "appropriate." Discussions will always be kept to a classroom appropriate level.
You will need to find and watch each week's movie on your own. They should be available at your local library or on some streaming services.
