This course is for students who may have less computer experience and/or enjoy smaller groups. ⭐ This is an ongoing class, so your credit card will be conveniently auto-drafted each week. You can unenroll easily at any time from the Outschool web page. I've taught over 1600 students as a technology teacher, and over the years I've found that while kids can navigate iPhones, operate social media, and play video games, they do not possess many of the skills needed to be successful in their educational environment - or just want to learn more. In this series, I combine creative tech skills with practical skills every kid should know. This course may include any of the following and will be determined by learner’s preference before beginning: ⭐ Animation with Google Slides ⭐ Canva Graphic Design ⭐ Google Slides ⭐ Google Forms ⭐ Google Sites ⭐ Photoshop Important Note: ⭐PC or Mac. No Chromebook, iPad or other devices. I will send out information on how to handle setup before we begin class. ⭐All students will need a Google account. Since this class is for 13 and up, their accounts will have all the options needed to complete activities. ⭐To use Canva, your child will also need an account in Canva prior to the Canva lesson. As with any program, please be sure you have given full permission to your child. ⭐To use Photoshop, you'll need a Photoshop subscription (parental consent) from adobe.com. You can purchase the less expensive Photography option of Photoshop for $9.99. But it's also important to note that you can get all the Adobe apps for the $19.99 student rate. Both are affordable annual subscriptions, so you'll be able to enjoy it after learning these skills. Class Structure and Teaching Style: I will teach you live, but I will also have short, easy-to-follow recorded tutorials that I have developed available, too, which can either be referred to later while practicing at home or utilized in class should you fall behind or have tech difficulties. I'm friendly, laidback and known for my patience. Tech issues don't rattle me. I'll show you first, guide you, and help you navigate any problems. Required Experience: For Photoshop, students MUST have basic knowledge such as finding and opening apps, logging in on their own, and must know how to navigate around on their PC or Mac - saving pics, finding where the pic is saved, and other basic navigation skills. For other tech lessons, I can teach children to navigate and they need no prior experience.

Mac or PC only for private lessons. No Chromebook (teacher cannot annotate on a Chromebook screen in Zoom making it very difficult to teach technology online, unfortunately), no iPad or other devices.
