Homework
This class will focus primarily on drawing an unidentified anime character in the style of Japanese animation and then it will be up to the student to decorate their anime character as they see fit. This may require time outside of class.

Class Experience

Intermediate - Advanced Level
Welcome to all anime lovers, fans of action figures and comics, to our ongoing anime drawing club, where you will learn how to draw your favorite anime characters or super heroes in motion under the guidance of a certified art educator. In this class, you will learn all about the human body, how it moves and how to draw it quickly and accurately under a limited amount of time.

This fun and engaging anime club is perfect for beginning manga artists, cartoonists, anime lovers, and comic fans alike. Each drawing class, will begin with a simple step by step drawing demonstration where I will teach you how to draw using basic lines and simple shapes to draw your favorite anime figure or character in action. For the most part we will be discussing proper proportions and how to draw your anime character using gestural line.

During this ongoing anime club, you are more than welcome to use whatever coloring medium you would like and will be encouraged to add your own personal flair to each of your anime characters. Please note, this is a student centered drawing class, so this means each week I will ask students which anime character they would like to draw and together we will draw that character in class.
