Description

Class Experience

Let’s talk about the hidden gems of Taylor Swift’s songs and videos. In many, if not, all of her music videos and songs, she has hidden ‘Easter eggs’ and cryptic clues for years. This class will be a fun experience for Swifties to dive in and study it. We will talk a little bit about Taylor Swift’s life and career. We will discuss some of the popular songs in this album, dive in to some of her songwriting, and discuss clues and stories behind the lyrics. We will also learn and review the...

Students will learn about the life and career of Taylor Swift. Students will discuss opinions and theories and also learn about foreshadowing as we discuss other theories from the Swiftie fandom.

I, myself, have been a major Swiftie since 2006 and have been to two of her live concerts!

For some pre-class homework, students will listen and/or watch songs or videos before class and come prepared to discuss the album being featured in class.

Also, as an optional out of class activity, students will be encouraged to listen to a Taylor Swift song of their choice (and approved by an adult) and discuss ideas and theories from the song with their classmates in the comments and then during class as well.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Any songs or videos viewed/listened to must be approved by a parent. Songs and videos will be watched outside of class on their own time preferably with a parent/guardian. Parental discretion is advised.
