Welcome to ¡Campamento Sabor al Español! A taste of Spanish Summer Camp. This is a course for students who have previously had a basic class in Spanish. Learning a language is a skill that requires constant repetition and practice. Many times, it is easy to lose the information learned in class. Have your student join a class or two this summer to have the opportunity to practice the language and not forget it! In this course we will learn/review: Vocabulary related to after school activities, foods, meals, snacks, adjectives to describe self and others, time, school courses and school items. As well as being able to say what they like and do not like. Grammar: subject pronouns, definite and indefinite articles, verbs SER and TENER, and the verb GUSTAR (to like). We will do this with lots of repetition, starting conversations, playing games and listening to songs to help us remember. It is a balance between learning and having fun without it being like an "elementary school class".
Learning Goals
Students will be able to hold a basic conversation with other students as well as the teacher. Students will leave with a basic, yet firm grammatical foundation and understanding of sentence structures.
