50 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
NOTE: If your learner is interested in this class but there are currently no times scheduled that work for them, PLEASE reach out to me - I would be very happy to arrange a time that will work better for their schedule! In this ongoing class students will create a different tangle/doodle project each week, using techniques inspired by Zentangle. Each week we will focus on a different tangle project. We will start by creating some type of foundation for our drawing, and then we will fill in spaces with different "tangles" or doodles to create a fun, unique piece of art! Various tangle patterns will be demonstrated, or learners can also come up with their own. Creativity is especially encouraged! NOTE: Learners should be able to use markers & other art supplies with or without assistance for these projects. Supply List (these should be gathered before the start of each class): * a 8"x10" or 9"x12" drawing surface - I recommend a thicker, SMOOTH surface (not bumpy) paper such as hot press watercolor paper, cardstock or Bristol; printer paper is not best for this project because it is very thin & markers bleed through * fine point markers (Ultra Fine Point Sharpie, Micron, Gel pens) - black, plus any other colors you would like to use! * a ruler may be helpful for some projects * some projects may use colored pencils, watercolors, tape, or other supplies that will be listed along with each week's project topic Upcoming Weekly Lessons: Week of October 10: Circle Tangles - bring things you can use to trace different sizes of circles with Week of October 17: Chevron Tangles - a ruler is recommended for this project Week of October 24: Abstract Oval Tangles - bring some watercolor paints for this project Week of October 31: Name Tangles - bring colored pencils for this project Week of November 7: Rainbow Tangles - bring a set of colored markers in rainbow order (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) Week of November 14: Tangle Quilt - bring colored markers or pencils for this project Week of November 21: Collage Tangles - bring a few different pieces of colored paper and a glue stick for this project Week of November 28: Goofy Hair Tangles - bring some pictures of faces that you can cut out, from either photos or magazines, and a glue stick
