Class Experience

🌮Join me for an exciting, hands-on cooking class where we’ll prepare a Zesty Taco Pasta Salad—a creative twist on Taco Tuesday! This recipe is fun, versatile, and packed with flavor, making it perfect for a family meal or a special treat.

During the class, I will demonstrate each step of the recipe live, and we’ll cook and assemble the dish together. Learners will practice essential skills like chopping, dicing, mixing, and following a recipe while exploring food science concepts in an engaging and interactive way.

The recipe is highly adaptable: Greek yogurt can be used instead of mayo, meat is optional, and we’ll discuss other substitutions to accommodate dietary preferences or what’s in your pantry.

Parents should be nearby to assist with handling hot water for pasta or any other tasks requiring extra safety precautions.

This class is structured to be interactive and supportive, with plenty of time for questions, cooking tips, and sharing experiences. No matter the number of students enrolled, I always teach the full session and ensure every learner gets the support they need to succeed

-No matter the number of students in class, I teach each and every one. I DO NOT cancel because of low enrollment.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I’m Mrs. Lisa, a professional culinary educator with nearly 30 years of experience teaching cooking, baking, and nutrition to learners of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. My love for food began as a child baking Southern classics with my grandmother, and I’ve since pursued formal training at Immaculata University (B.S. in Food and Nutrition Science, minor in Child Development) and Le Cordon Bleu Boston, as well as numerous culinary workshops.

As an instructor, I combine my expertise with a passion for making learning fun and interactive. I believe food brings people together, and my goal is to empower kids with kitchen confidence while teaching the science, culture, and joy of cooking. In this class, I’ll help your child create a delicious recipe and learn valuable life skills.

When I’m not teaching, I love traveling, hosting dinner parties, and sharing food experiences with my family. I’m so excited to welcome your child to my kitchen classroom—let’s bake something amazing together!
