This beginner class will teach the basics of using shapes in PowerPoint to create digital art. Students will create a "sweet" digital file of a cookie. During class I will model and demonstrate techniques while students practice in real-time. At the end, we will learn how to save our art as JPEG/PNG files to use in future projects. Basically, we are creating our own amazing clipart, AND learning the valuable tools to create in the future!! I encourage creativity and adding your own "flair" and personality: and remember there are NO mistakes in art! I keep my class sizes small (1-4 learners) so I can spend enough one-on-one time answering questions and helping walk through steps. Learners have the opportunity to screen share and ask for help. This class does require a computer/laptop for PowerPoint. (iPads/tablets have different functions, and won't work for this class) This class is perfect for beginners, but it is recommended students should have a basic knowledge of computer control, using a mouse or tracker pad, and can follow directions. No PowerPoint or digital art experience needed, but it may be helpful to look around at some features such as shape format before class! Please make sure PowerPoint is already downloaded and functional on your computer before class begins. (Please note Google Slides and Keynote are not the same as PowerPoint. I can create private Google slides classes upon request!)
