Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten
Welcome to Super Syllables! In this ongoing course we will enhance our phonological awareness skills by understanding syllables practicing isolation, counting, blending, segmentation, addition, deletion, and substitution. Syllable awareness is needed for phonological awareness. Phonological awareness is crucial to develop good reading skills and understanding language. It is helpful for your learner to understand letters sounds, and vowel sounds. This class is ESL friendly. Class materials will be posted on Sundays by 5pm CST. You will noticed a repeat schedule, topics will be repeated but the activities will be different. Each class is a stand alone so, you can join anytime!

If your learner is not ready for this class I recommend checking out my Rhyming, Onsets, and Rhymes class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Welcome to my classroom! My name is Jessica, my students call me, Ms. Jessica. I have been an online educator for over three years. I received my B.S in Management and Leadership in 2016 and then moved onto my master's program to receive my Masters of Arts in Teaching for Special Education. In 2020 with a semester and left and my student teaching I decided to stay home and homeschool my own kiddos! I have a boy with Down syndrome and another little boy. My special education background allows me to customize my classes and adapt to any learner. When I am not teaching I enjoy taking our family dog on walks, spending time in nature, reading books of all kind, watching history documentaries, cooking, and spending time with my family.
