Teacher expertise and credentials
As I am qualified as a Primary/Junior teacher, I have taught a range of students between kindergarten and grade 6. During this time, I covered all curriculum subjects (math, language, social studies, science, health, physical education, etc.)
I have experience teaching in a high school (Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12) Communications Technology classroom, as well as leading summer camps teaching photography and stop motion animation.
In my personal life, I enjoy completing media projects, such as web design, videography, photography, graphic design. Before becoming a teacher, I earned an undergraduate degree in Media Studies, with a diploma in Media Communications. During this program, I practiced these media-related skills, and I now use them to use for freelance marketing for small businesses.
I also have an interest in fandoms that students might enjoy classes themed around, such as Harry Potter, Pokemon, etc. I have enjoyed many pop-culture fandoms throughout my life, and thus I can speak to years of experience learning about lore and facts about the different series.
