We will learn facts about arctic foxes and how they live. We will cover their habitats,, what they eat, why they look the way they do, and how they have adapted to their harsh environments. We will learn using slides, video clips, songs, and a craft at the end. There will be discussion time for questions, and lots of interaction with each other and the content. My teaching style is gentle and encouraging, but at a "perky pace" to keep young learners engaged in the classroom activities There is no prior experience or knowledge expected, just a love of learning and an interest in finding out new things about penguins!.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of the arctic fox and how they adapt to their environment.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am so excited to be here and tell you about myself. I live in Arizona with my family where we enjoy going to the lake, traveling, hiking, camping and exploring the outdoors.
I am certified to teach grades K-8 in all subjects and I have an ESL endorsement. I have a master’s in early childhood education and a bachelor’s in Elementary Education, both from Arizona State University. I have over 15 years of teaching experience, which includes eight years in kindergarten, four years in pre-kindergarten in China, and two years as a preschool director/ teacher in Arizona. Although I love teaching pre-kindergarten and kindergarten learners, I am excited to teach other ages as well. I hope to connect with students and help them discover a confidence and love of learning that will last a lifetime.
Although a majority of my training and experience is in early childhood, I love facilitating exciting educational experiences for all learners. These are the areas I plan to explore and share with your children:
• Social skills: I am passionate about mindfulness, breathing techniques, self-regulation, communication and managing difficult feelings.
• Writing: I studied with Matt Glover while living in China. He taught me how to help young writers create and share their own books. I cannot wait to share these skills with young learners!
• Thematic Units: I will teach thematic units which will contain all of the subjects of the core curriculum. My courses include cooking and fitness classes to help learners understand the importance of self-care routines while learning about the mind/body connection. These units will be paired with virtual field trips.
I'm excited to be a part of your education adventure! If you have a positive experience in class, please tell your friends, request classes you are interested in, and follow my profile to get notified when I create new classes.
See you soon!
