1 hour per week. Young musicians should commit to practicing their violin each day for at least 15 minutes. This will help them progress evenly with the class. Some students practice before school, others find other times in the day. Consistency is key!Class Experience
Does your child know how to hold the violin and the bow as well as play on the D, A and E strings? Do they want to learn more about the violin while learning with friends? Then this fun-filled level 1C violin class is for you! Each week, we will learn new violin skills to that by the end of the class, your child should be able to expand on the simple songs they learned in level B, or with another teacher, as well as solidify the notes on the E, A and D strings and expand their repertoire. I love making violin classes fun and use innovative new ways, including google slide games created by me, fun bowing and pizzicato exercises and more. We will move and groove to the music and learn to play a wide variety of styles of music including classical, folk, and pop. My classes are light hearted, yet we also 'get down to business!' Each class is structured with an introduction/review, then working on techniques including bowing and scales, and moving on to working on our music and learning new songs. Then we say our 'see you laters', and students practice during the week. I provide a practice sheet that reviews what we did in class so that young musicians can review and practice their skills without forgetting, "What was I supposed to practice? Oh no, I can't find my book!" Everything you need will be provided and posted weekly. For this course, young musicians should know the very basics of the violin and have an excitement for learning more with their fellow musician friends.
