Class Experience

Does your child know how to fiddle on the D, A and E strings, and read musical notes? Then this fun-filled class is for you! Each week, we will learn new fiddle skills to that by the end of the class, your child should be able to read a few new notes and play a fiddle tune, as well as solidify reading the notes on the E, A and D strings and expand their repertoire. I love making fiddle classes fun and use innovative new ways, including google slide games created by me, fun bowing and pizzicato exercises and more. We will move and groove to the music and learn to play a fiddle. My classes are light hearted, yet we also 'get down to business!'
Each class is structured with an introduction/review, then working on techniques including bowing and scales, and moving on to working on our music and learning new songs. Then we say our 'see you laters', and students practice during the week. I provide a practice sheet that reviews what we did in class so that young musicians can review and practice their skills without forgetting, "What was I supposed to practice? Oh no, I can't find my book!" Everything you need will be provided and posted weekly. For this course, young musicians should know the very basics of the violin and have an excitement for learning more with their fellow musician friends.
