What's included

Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Join Mrs. Hannah and have fun with hands-on science via edible science experiments, all on your own schedule. In this flex class, I will provide step-by-step instructional videos so students can participate along at home. I will cover a different edible experiment by posting a 20-minute video of the lesson each Monday.

Students have the option of getting the weekly supplies and participating in the science activity or may choose to simply observe some weeks.

Science activities included:
Week 1: Rainbow Rain Jar: Students will learn about weather and why it rains.
Week 2: Fizzy Sidewalk Paint: Students will learn about basic chemical reactions.
Week 3: Rainbow Bubble Snake: Students will learn how bubbles are formed.
Week 4: Sand Slime: Students will see how different substances can form sand slime.
Week 5: Lemon Volcano: Students will learn about volcanoes.
Week 6: Elephant Toothpaste: Students will learn about basic chemical reactions.
Rainbow Bubble Snake: Students will learn how bubbles are formed.

Each week includes a science handout, supply list and corresponding instructional video. I will provide step-by-step instructional videos for our activities in order for students to participate along at home or watch along with me. I want your learner to feel like they are part of a class and will be available for any questions or communications. Students can share their hypothesis and results in the classroom chat.

There are no scheduled live video chats. Discussions are via classroom chat and private messages with me. This flex class is ideal if your learner prefers independent pacing or is uncomfortable with live video chat.
