US Grade 2 - 5
📚Join me through this ongoing 3 book reading adventure where we will focus on the short series of Ralph S. Mouse, written by Beverly Cleary. 💬This book club will meet 1x a week for 45 minutes. Learners will be asked to read the assigned chapters each week, *before* meeting for class. During class we will participate in a variety of fun and engaging activities, ranging from: ▪️Taking turns in class discussions ▪️Referring back to the text for evidence and understanding ▪️Diving into different reading skills, concepts and strategies (character, setting, plot, theme, inferencing, analyzing text, etc) ▪️Writing summaries ▪️Making predictions and more ✏️Each week I will offer optional assignments to help guide learners through their weekly reading. These assignments will consist of comprehension questions, writing, and some fun activities that we will be able to share in class. (Please note: As I do encourage learner participation in class, I will not force a learner to share or speak up, if they choose not to. My goal is to build self-confidence, and team building within these classes so that all learners feel comfortable and have fun expressing their love of these awesome books.) 😉Learners may join the class at any time throughout the session. 📖Book Club Schedule & Chapters: -->(Please see the Syllabus for specific weekly chapters that will be covered) -->(This class will be offered two different days per week but we will cover the same weekly chapters) 🏍 The Mouse and the Motorcycle (Book 1)🏍 Tuesday OR Thursday Section: Week 1 (June 11 or June 13) Week 2 (June 18 or June 20) Week 3 (June 25 or June 27) ❌No Class (July 1-July 5)❌ 🐭 Runaway Ralph (Book 2) 🐭 Tuesday OR Thursday Section: Week 4 (July 9 or July 11) Week 5 (July 16 or July 18) Week 6 (July 23 or July 25) 🖍🐭 Ralph S.
