The goal of this class is to increase student confidence and preparedness for the upcoming school year by reviewing and strengthening core skills in math, reading, writing, science, social studies, and social interaction.
I am a certified teacher with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as e-Learning. I have been in education for 12 years. I taught two years of 5th grade, two years of 4th grade, and I was a K-5 instructional interventionist for 3 years before becoming an administrator. I was a middle school assistant principal for 3 years. I have been an elementary principal for 2 years.
Students may need lesson handouts found in the classroom; any handouts will be posted to the class page. Students taking this class may also need paper and/or spiral, crayons, markers, and a pencil to participate in lesson activities. For classes that heavily focus on writing, a dictionary and/or thesaurus is suggested, but not required.
