What's included

3 live meetings
2 hrs 30 mins in-class hours

Class Experience

Students will learn in a live class setting with instructor explaining and demonstrating skills then correcting the student.  
Interaction with coach and student will be visual and verbal while instructing students on floor gymnastics.
Class time is structured with a cardio & strength warm-up, stretching, limbering for bridging, handstand progressions, concentrate on a certain tumbling skill--cartwheel, roundoff, aerials, back or front tumbling, learn a routine to music with tumbling skills.  

Day 1 of camp:
*Getting to know one another with a fun game
*Warm-up
*Floor Tumbling Skills will be worked--Handstand variations, cartwheel variations, roundoffs, reviewing tumbling technical skills to understand the body movement
*Gymnastics routine 



Day 2 of camp:
*Fun warm-up game
*Stretch
*Floor Tumbling Skills will be worked--Bridges and limbering drills for front & back walkovers and front and back limbers
*Camp Craft


Day 3 of Camp
*Fun Warm-up game
*Stretch
*Floor Tumbling Skills will be worked--Handstand balancing, handstand walking, and press handstand drills.
*Finish by showing favorite skill from camp.
Learning Goals
Students will learn flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering, and tumbling from Acrobatic Arts progression sheets.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Risk of injury if students are not performing skills correctly. Parental guidance and assistance may be needed. Please make sure proper safety precautions are taken. For example, make sure student is not performing skills next to furniture and has proper matting required for class. This is a risky class because the student does not have a coach at home to work with them on proper form and technique and the potential for injury exists. Parent supervision(adult present during the class) and skills may need to be modified according to skill level, skill, and strength of each student.

Supply List:
*Gymnastics mat or yoga mat
*yoga blocks 6 inch and then athlete will progress to 4 inch and 2 inch
*Open wall space
*Pillows--4 to 5 
Craft Supplies (Gymnastics paper chain):
*2 sheets of white paper
*Crayons or Markers
*A pencil

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I'm certified through USA Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts and I've learned from many different coaches and instructors throughout my years of coaching. I truly love to see the gymnast improve with unique progressions. Watching students achieve skills and be excited about accomplishing a body movement is amazing to watch!
