Welcome to Ms. Abby Summer Camp. Each week will have a new theme. This class will have so many fun-packed fun days. We will learn and have fun and make lots of fun crafts. We will learn new songs and fun stories. This class is going to be fun and exciting and your learner will not want to miss it. I am posting below each of the different themes we will be having. I will post supplies and worksheets needed two weeks at a time. You can join and leave class whenever you want. If you have a vacation and need a week off just unsubscribe for that week. As your learner's teacher, my goal is for your child to learn and have fun for the summer. We will cover the basic concepts and skills we need to be ready for kindergarten in this lively week. Our class will be filled with reading, writing, science, math skills, songs, games, crafts, and lots of fun activities! My teaching style is warm, laid back, and fun! I enjoy making each child feel special. I will lead the learners in many games, songs, crafts, and activities. I will also do demonstrations; lead discussions; use pictures, props, video clips, and slideshows. I look forward to helping your learner prepare for kindergarten! Our Summer class schedule will be. Mute Policy I do not like to use the Mute button. I will only use it if the background noise is too loud for the other learners and myself. Please note I like to have each learner have a voice. Talking on the phone or general loud noise can be very loud and it is hard to hear the other learners and myself. I will ask the learner to use the mute button if the background is too loud. Please make sure your learner knows how to use the mute button. Leaners Please make sure your learner comes prepared to class with supplies and worksheets. I also ask that each learner not jump and climb and leave during class if possible. I know sitting can be hard but I ask that each learner try. We will be dancing and singing during class this allows your learner to get the wiggles out. This class will be a bit more relaxed than the school year classes I run because it is for the summer. The children will still be learning but also having fun. We will be doing fun activities based on the theme .

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, and welcome to my class! I'm Abby. I have over 30 years experience working with children ages 2-16. For many years, I was the co-owner, director of instruction, and lead teacher for J & A Daycare Center. I also have many years of experience caring for and teaching children through nannying and private home daycare, including children on the autism spectrum. (I have such a heart for children with special needs!) For the past five years, it has been my joy to homeschool my 20-year-old daughter. It is exciting to see her thriving and enjoying learning!
My teaching style is warm, creative, and fun. I am passionate about teaching young children! I love to encourage children and make sure they feel welcome. My goal for my classes is for every child to walk away smiling and feeling like they had a good time!
My husband, daughter and I make our home in Athens, GA. I enjoy wood painting, coloring, cooking, and crafts. I am so excited to meet and teach your child!
