I have been a classroom teacher for 4 years, where I have taught middle school social studies! During my time teaching middle school social studies the focus has been on document based questions. This is when the students are given sources and they have to answer an overarching question in essay format. It has been one of my favorite things to teach because I love to write. This is my fourth school year teaching essay skills and I have evidence of great strides that my students have made! I also taught Government to tenth grade, where essay writing was a focus as well. I am certified to teach 7-12 grade and I have a lot of experience with all these grade levels.
