Class Experience

This game is geared towards players that have already learned the basics and want to play higher level characters. we will be starting at level 5 and get as far into the campaign as we can with the option to continue the game for any players that would like to keep going. The first game will be character creation and then we will jump into playing with any time we have left. The following 4 games will be focused on perusing what ever adventures the party would like to take on.

I will be leading the game as the Dungeon master and helping keep the students on track so that the game keeps moving forward. I will also make sure that every student gets to participate each game.
I love to take ques from the students and guide the story towards what they are wanting to peruse. meaning that if the group wants more of a action adventure style game I will adjust the game to do more of that or if they want to do more role play then I will cut back on the battles and focus more on the personal character growth and story.

Basic understanding of character creation and how to play the game is recommended.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to make and play higher level characters.
They will also learn problem solving skills by doing various puzzles and figuring out solutions to problems that will arise.
We will also make a great collaborative story that every student will have a part in and they will learn how to work together as a part of the team.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
There will be battles or fights but I do my best to keep to the base details such as you hit or miss an attack and do not go into any gritty details. gamer tags will be required for the class for both DnDbyeond and Roll20
Supply List
You will need to have a DnDbeyond account. This is a website created by the same people that make dungeons and dragons for creating characters. You can make a free account to use. On the first day I will share the link that will give you accesses to the rule books and let you use them for the length of the game. There is also a dice roller that you can use.
External Resources
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Sources
Dndbeyond is the website I use to share the books we will be using for character creation and the rules of the game. I use this site because it allows me to see all of the players character sheets and it also has digital dice for them to roll. I will also be screen sharing from the website Roll20 which is a virtual table top that I can use to show the maps we will be exploring.
