Join me for some fun and sneaky learning in our summer book and movie clubs! In our first meeting, we will discuss the book and then we'll meet one more time to compare it to the movie.

Join me this summer for some relaxed, fun, and thought-provoking book and movie discussions.
I hope that these discussions will foster a love of stories and lay the foundations for future literary analysis. Learners will be encouraged to share their ideas, thoughts, and conclusions about various aspects of the book and movie in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.
Our class will meet twice in one week. At...Homework Offered
Be sure to read (or listen to) the entire book before our first book club meeting. Please be prepared to share your favorite character, moment, or quote from the book. Learners will need to watch the entire movie before our second meeting.4+ hours per week outside of class

1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need a copy of the book (or an audiobook) and access to the movie. Students can read the book on their own, listen to an audiobook, or parents can read the book to their child.
Always research the content of the book and movie before signing up your child. Common Sense Media is an excellent resource to read more details about the book and the movie. The book and the movie are recommended on Common Sense Media for ages 13+ mainly due to violence and some language. There is also an unidentified drink in the movie that is presumed to be alcohol. More details can be found on their site.
