Class Experience

Boost your students reading over the summer! 

Tutoring sessions will meet over the summer 2x per week for 30 minutes a class.
The first day or two will be used to gain an understanding of where the students reading level is. 
Each day will consist of reading, vowel study and word study. 
Reading: We will read from a book that is just above the students current level, working on fluency and accuracy as we read. 
Vowel Study: We will practice the basic vowel formations in words to make it...

Students will get tailored tutoring for reading.

I have worked for the last year as a reading aide in a public elementary school. My job was to help those who were reading below grade level improve their reading skills and confidence.

Reading will be strongly encouraged.

Learners should have access to books to practice their reading on their own.

We will occasionally do timed readings to see how fluency and accuracy are improving.

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
