Students do not need previously experience with subtraction, but can have some. Students will be taught how to subtract starting with numbers less than 10 then moving into low 2-digit numbers. For the first 25 minutes, activities are all image based and students will each take turns practicing "slashing and solving" simple subtraction problems. This is a small group class so that each student feels comfortable and gets opportunities to try. The last 5 minutes of class will be spent with calculating simple problems without the aid of graphics. This is a great, casual way for young students to meet up and learn in a relaxed, happy atmosphere.
