Class Experience

Do you want to learn how to cheer with your favorite stuffed animal or doll? In this one-time class, students will learn basic cheerleading skills and express their sense of self and creativity with their special friends.

This class will begin with students introducing themselves and their special friends. Then, learners will go through a warm-up and stretches before working on “stunt” cheer moves with their toys.

Next, students will put their new moves into a routine and perform at the end of class.

The goal of this class is to increase your learner's self-esteem and confidence. Working with stuffed animals is a more comfortable way for kids to express their creativity and sense of self. Most importantly, creating a stuffed animal cheer squad is an active and fun activity sure to put a smile on your learner's face.

Cheerleading outfits for both stuffed animals and learners are encouraged to feel in the spirit but are not mandatory. Learners should, however, wear something that is comfortable to move in and have a bottle of water close by. Dolls are welcome to join in on the fun as well. Can't wait to see your learner in class!

Please ensure that your learner has enough space to move freely.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi friends! Welcome to my Outschool profile. Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out! My name is Melanie Pleasant. My passion is curating classes that are bonding experiences between your learner and their stuffed animal friends.

My stuffed animal based classes are centered around cheerleading, rhythm, and general education. Your learner will gain skills and knowledge in these areas while also growing their self-confidence, social-emotional skills, creativity, and imagination.

Stuffed animals are oftentimes an extension of our self-expression. Working with stuffed animals is a great way for even the shyest of learners to break out of their shells, make new friends, and feel comfortable expressing themselves freely.

I have worked with kids and their stuffed animals for about 15 years. I have led stuffed animal circle times in classroom settings and bookstores. I also helped kids of all ages adopt, create and dress new furry friends through a traveling make-your-own-stuffed animal company called Noah’s Animal Workshop.

My other passions include cheerleading, performing, and drumming. Growing up, I was in several cheerleading programs, which led me to my career as a character performer at Universal Studios Hollywood. I’ve also been playing the drums since I was 13. I currently play drums in the family-friendly Halloween rock band, Candy Corn for Breakfast.

My classes are primarily geared towards learners ages 4-8 who have a love for stuffed animals and enjoy imaginative play and are interested in learning beginner skills in cheerleading, rhythm, and general education.

If you are interested in booking any of my classes for a private tutoring session or birthday party, please let me know in a direct message. We can then work out a time that will best fit our schedules.

Can’t wait to see your learner in class!
