In this 4 week girls club, girls ages 9-12 will engage in discussion that focuses on self-esteem, self confidence and self love.
Class experience
Researchers believe that a young women's self confidence drops when she turns 13. It is my goal to make sure that does not happen*. Empowered women have the ability to change the world around them. In this 6 meeting course, girls ages 9-12 will work on their self-esteem and self confidence. Self-esteem and self confidence will help prepare them for their teen years through resilience and bravery. Ms. Sharifa has worked with various young girls to develop their self-confidence and self-esteem as a kindergarten homeroom teacher. Ms. Sharifa has also worked as a VP Risk Management and Chapter President for her sorority's chapter and has facilitated self-esteem workshops for college women.
Learners will need loose leaf paper and various printed handouts throughout the course. Crayons and markers are optional but very fun!
