In this ongoing class we will read a number of imaginative and classic children's book authors. We will first get our sillies out, have storytime, practice a few reading comprehension questions, then lastly draw a picture about what we read. I have been reading to my children, nieces, and nephews for 15 years. Reading is the doorway into imagination, and that begins at the preschool level! Here are some the books we will cover in this class: Week 1 - March 21 and 24 - A Child's Treasury of Best Loved Poems by Teddy Edinjiklian Week 2 - March 28 and 30 - Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak Week 3 - April 4 and 6 - Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown Week 4 - April 11 and 13 - Pete The Cat and His Magic Sunglasses - Kimberly and James Dean Week 5 - April 18 and 20 - The Pigeon Wants and Puppy and Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Willems Week 6 - April 25 and 27 - Clark the Shark Dares to Share by Bruce Hale I am a positive and passionate teacher who believes that the love of reading starts young. All that is required is a genuine interest in stories and a big imagination. If you don't see a time that works for you, click the "Show Alternate Times" or "Request a Private Class" button. I am flexible and happy to accommodate your schedule.
