US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
This is a one-time class, with multiple entry points for all learners to enjoy. Depending on demand, additional sessions will be added! In this class learners will listen to the laugh out loud story: A Unicorn, A Dinosaur, and A Shark Were Riding a Bicycle. After the read aloud, learners will share their thoughts on the story and then create their own unicorn craft using Skillmatics Foil Fun: Unicorns and Princesses. This neat craft allows for endless story telling opportunities. Learners also get to express their creativity using a different medium than what they may be used to.
Learning Goals
Students will practice listening comprehension skills and practice creative story telling and expression through their unicorn Foil Fun craft.

-Skillmatics Foil Fun: Unicorns and Princesses (available on Amazon). These are super fun to use! -If you do not have Skillmatics Foil Fun: Unicorns and Princesses please bring paper and drawing materials to create your own art! -A small bucket or garbage basket for learners to dispose of scrap pieces of paper

Hello! I’m a Columbia University graduate and former elementary school teacher with over 10 years experience working with children from early childhood through high school.
I’ve taught Spanish to toddlers/preschoolers, tutored students in High School English, and taught elementary school students in both general education and ICT classrooms.
I’ve taught in private schools, public schools, and charter schools. I even taught at a Hong Kong international elementary school for a year, which was awesome!
Most recently, I was the Director of Curriculum and Operations at an Edtech company. In that position, I created and led a team of creators to develop some amazing content! I worked on interactive coding for preschoolers, history/travel based lessons for elementary school students, phenomenon based science lessons for middle schoolers, afternoon SEL programs, summer camp lessons and more!
What am I up to currently? In addition to Outschool I’m homeschooling my 4-year old daughter with a play-based preschool curriculum that I’m developing. We’re loving it! Although I admit that creating a year’s long curriculum on my own has been a huge undertaking! But who doesn’t love a good challenge?!? 🤗Reviews
