Class Experience

We will read, explore, and discuss How to Catch the Tooth Fairy. 
Students will then be challenged with building their own Tooth Fairy trap!
We will learn and follow the Engineer Design Process (Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Improve).
We will discuss how we can make our Tooth Fairy trap, choose materials to use, draw a plan, create the trap and test it out, and make improvements. 
Students will be encouraged to persevere when encountering an obstacle and to learn from their mistakes!

Students will enjoy and relate to literature.

Supply List
Engineer Design Process Worksheet - provided to print (if you do not have a printer blank paper will work just fine)
pencil, crayons

A variety of building materials:
small boxes (tissue box, cereal box, shoe box, etc.)
paper (printer or construction)
tape, glue, scissors
popsicle sticks 
straws
pipe cleaners
string
Q-Tips
straws
cups
etc.

Decorative materials: 
Stickers, glitter, markers, crayons, etc.
 1 file available upon enrollment
