In this class we will be using the book Love You Always, Gray Elephant written by Patricia Maiorano and illustrated by Debopriya Banerjee. The teacher will read the book aloud the first time. During the second reading, students will answer comprehension question/ during reading questions. After the second reading, students will brainstorm and use inferences from the story to determine how the elephant helped the little boy gain confidence and be brave. After the group activity, students will independently draw/ write steps they can take to demonstrate bravery and confidence. All parents will receive a copy of the activities. Teaching style: I enjoy getting all students involved in their learning, encouraging group conversations, and checking for understanding throughout the lesson. I use individual accommodations for each student as the class goes on, based on the needs of the individual. Parents are encouraged to purchase the book for their home libraries or so students can follow along in class. The author has given her permission to use this book in class and has reviewed the lesson plan and activities. If the students and parents purchase a book or enjoy the book, please leave a review for the author on her author page/ amazon link. https://www.amazon.com/Love-You-Always-Gray-Elephant/dp/B08P29D93V/ref=asc_df_B08P29D93V/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584345026825618&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=1291926519431069&hvadid=80745495341331&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584345026825618&hydadcr=

When students are excited and intrigued by new information and learning, they develop a love for learning. In my classroom, I want all students to feel safe, excited, appreciated, valued, and understood.
I am very active in my community! I started a Pin-up group in my area in order to embrace the vintage clothing style and encourage other women to get involved in community outreach.
