US Grade Preschool - 1
This class is designed as a story hour, so students will have the opportunity to listen, talk, and sing along with a variety of stories! Ms. AJ has a background in theater, teaching, and music. She utilizes these three strengths to create an engaging 45 minute journey through a variety of stories. Here are some of the stories we will hear: 1. The Three Billy Goats Gruff - a melodic retelling of the famous story, including movement and vocal practice with students 2. The Princess and the Frog - the classic story of the princess and her magic ball, and how she became friends with a mysterious frog 3. Hermie the Worm - silly, melodic, and vocal practice for students...a story about a worm with a surprise ending! 4. Lucky the Wonder Dog - take a trip into Ms. AJ's childhood and learn about her magical, flying dog! 5. Peanut Butter Baby - another famous story from when Ms. AJ was little. Learn about the time she and her baby brother got into a jar of peanut butter. 6. Goldilocks and the Three Bears - the classic story, told from the perspective of all your favorite characters! 7. The Three Little Pigs! - We'll hear what the pigs thought happened - but we will also learn about how the wolf felt about the famous debacle! All stories are told orally, without the aid of text, and allow your learner the opportunity to independently visualize stories in their heads, actively listen, and participate when necessary!
